Who gave Manish Tiwari (Congress spokesperson) the right to hurt the sentiments of Kashmiri Pandits...

I condemn & place a very strong objection on what Congress spokesperson Mr. Manish Tiwari has commented about the exodus of KPs in 1990 (on NDTV’s Big Fight).

Mr. Manish Tiwari says that Kashmiri Pandits were driven out of the valley in 1990 due to "fear psychosis of Governor Jagmohan” meaning it was not due to fundamentalists & terrorists who actually compelled we Kashmiri Pandits to leave the valley.

By saying so, he has shown a highest level of disrespect to the entire KP community who are continuing to suffer since last 20 years.

By saying so, he has attacked the self-respect of Kashmiri Pandits who became victims to the fundamentalists/terrorists & by saying so he has attacked the souls of departed/martyrs, which actually is more painful than the brutal ways of killings by terrorists.

Mr. Manish Tiwari, do you know most of the Kashmiri Pandits have NOT ONLY lost their hard earned property/belongings created over the years hardships in Kashmir, BUT ALSO, many lives of their near & dear ones for the simple reason that they were pro-Indians.

Mr. Manish Tiwari, have you lived in such areas where you are abused in both the cases of India loosing or winning the cricket matches?

Mr. Manish Tiwari, have you ever lived in any such area where you are forced not to watch Indian TV channels & asked to watch Pakistani TV channels?

Mr. Manish Tiwari, do you know that education had come to a standstill in Kashmir due to continuous terrorism activities in 1989-1990.

Mr. Manish Tiwari, do you know anything about the horrifying night of 19th January 1990. Just ask ‘any’ (i repeat – ANY) Kashmiri Pandit who was there at that time & you will get to know the real reply to your immature & childish comment and who knows may be politically motivated statement.

Mr. Mansih Tiwari, do you know in 1990 there were three digit terrorist organizations operating in Kashmir & that most of which placed a common public warning in one of their daily mouthpiece newspapers “Alsafa”, very clearly asking all Kashmiri Pandits to leave the valley within 48 hours or face dire consequences of losing lives.

Mr. Manish Tiwari, do you know how many Kashmiri Pandits were killed in between the shorter span of 1989 end & 1990 beginning. My own Father & very close next-door neighbour were kidnapped & then killed brutally by those fundamentalists/terrorists. Our families didn’t even got the dead bodies (but only ashes) to perform the last rites. This is not my standalone case only. Ask any Kashmiri Pandit & you will hear the similar happenings with some or the other of their relatives. And how casually can you say the Kashmiri Pandits left the valley due to fear psychosis of Governor Jagmohan (meaning not due to the atrocities of those fundamentalists/terrorists)???

Mr. Manish Tiwari, do you know what slogans were being shouted. FYI, these were like: ‘Kashmir mei agar rehna hai, Allah-o-Akbar kehna hai’ (If you want to stay in Kashmir, you have to say Allah-o-Akbar); ‘Yahan kya chalega, Nizam-e-Mustafa’ (What do we want here? Rule of Sharia’h); ‘Asi gachchi Pakistan, Batao roas te Batanev san’ (We want Pakistan along with Hindu women but without their men).

Mr. Manish Tiwari, wish I had an option to go back to time… would have taken you down to 1990 & asked you to stay in ANY part of Kashmir without any security & then would have asked you to compare your current comments with the then ground realities, from which you actually seem to be far by infinity.

Mr. Manish Tiwari, we Kashmiri Pandits (who have suffered a lot since last 20 years) request you not to politicize this issue. You (Congress) have given us nothing positive since last 20 years & at the same time DON’T expect such negatives as well.

Mr. Manish Tiwari, you have no right to hurt the already wounded sentiments of Kashmiri Pandits!!!
